I am sorry we no longer run writing for the web or other face-to-face courses, either inhouse or public. Our related communication services have also been wound down.
After 18 years of running in-house and public courses I have finally decided to retire. These last years have been enormous fun and has taken me to some amazing places and I have met some very special people.
I have travelled to many European countries to deliver training including: Norway, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Belgium. I have met many interesting people along the way and especially enjoyed working for the UN in three countries, and for the EU in Brussels.
On home turf I have travelled the length and breadth of the UK from Exeter to Stirling, Cambridge, London and Canterbury - and plenty more besides. I worked for most Government departments not only nationally but also for the the devolved governments of Wales and Scotland. I also found it fascinating and mentally stimulating to help staff at a dozen of our UK universities to help improve their communication skills.
I also worked for over 50 local, municipal and county councils.
In addition, I have also closed down my online learning training and email distribution businesses. These proved useful and complementary businesses, and considerably expanded my client list.
So what am I doing now? I plan to take some enjoyable holidays at home and abroad.
I am also actively pursuing research on Rowland Emett for the Society. Emett is often associated with the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But the range, diversity and impact worldwide of this British cartoonist and creator of extraordinary machines is only now being fully appreciated and logged.
So thank you to all my former clients, I wish you well in your own careers and I hope you are having as much fun as I have had over my long and varied communications career.
